I love learning about people. I love finding out what makes them tick. When sitting in a coffee shop, I'm mostly doing my best to target in on an interesting conversation, and then I build stories around what I hear. A career in writing just seemed like a natural fit.

Before striking out on my own as a full-time freelancer, I worked in the corporate world for a number of years as a social media strategist and manager. Social media intrigues me. I study it. I get sucked into it. I build social strategy for businesses.

Aside from my time as a corporate social media strategist and manager, I had did a stint as a digital editor and at a national publication. There, I learned the ins and outs of writing for digital, including SEO, headlines, subheads, adding media, meta writing, and the like.

As a freelance writer, I’ve worked with national publications, small businesses, large corporate entities, marketing agencies, and well-known nonprofits. I live for creating compelling content that connects people, because today, more than ever, people yearn to feel a connection to those around them.

I live on the sunny Gulf Coast of Florida with my husband, two sons, two cats and leopard gecko. I love yoga, beaching, biking, and anything related to authentic Mexican food. I’m also an Oxford Comma enthusiast and an avid reader. To my husband’s disdain, I collect books and nerdy literary  trinkets.
